The PR NOTHING Game!

MYTHS
There is a lot of ongoing debate on what will absolutely work every single
time when it comes to search engine optimization. Some people believe that longevity is the key, with a lot of sites that have been around being on top of the search engines. I
see things substantially different than that. The reason that older sites rank higher generally, is mostly because they have been around long enough to collect a large number of linking sites.
Another big debate is that a site should contain nothing but other sites
that are geared towards whatever search term said site is trying to achieve ranking in. For example, if a site wants to snag the top spot in ‘games’, one would assume they have to do nothing but target gaming
related sites. There is a lot of truth to this, however, one thing that a lot of people are forgetting, is the difficulty of obtaining that targeted traffic past a certain point. There
becomes a point, when it is no longer viable to target those sites that are targeted and your efficiency goes down substantially. Is it really worthwhile to spend 10 hours trying to get a single link back?
Not really, unless you’re talking a PR8 or higher. Once you have tapped out your top 100 search results, you are pretty much just scrapping the bottom of the barrel and most likely are going to end up with a
small return on your invested time. That’s because the search results become quite horrible in quality past about the 60 top search results mark and on many keywords, well before then.
So, what can you do to get those links and to raise your rank???
QUICK FIX
One thing that I have noticed about site promotion, is that the faster you
can accomplish your task, the better, because then you can move onto other things. Obtaining links is essentially the same way. I want you to consider this:
You spend hours trying to obtain targeted linkage, you search sites looking for email addresses that are viable, you move onto the next site fill out a form, then move on again. It takes forever just to request
linkage on most sites these days. It’s not like the old days of marketing, where you could find an email address on every single website, regardless of how big it was. Now,
everyone has special forms, or forums that you can respond to them at. Why did they do this? Well, spam, obviously. All of those
stupid spambots flooding the websites and stripping them of email addresses. So now you have to contend with searching a site that you have most likely never been to for an email address that may not even exist.
This really makes the whole process quite aggravating.
I have come up with a solution that seems to be quite probably and usable in
nature. I haven’t had the opportunity to experiment with enough websites, however, I am sure that it will work with any site. Think about personal websites for a moment,
think about just how long it takes to find an email address on a personal website. Now, think about how excited you would be if you get 2 visitors a day to your personal website, if you got a request for linkage.
I’m guessing you would probably slap that link up so fast, and it would be in the most prominent place, in fact, you may place it in your opening paragraph just to show off a little. Now, think about how fast
you could obtain 500 links, 1000 links… it is phenomenal how many links you could obtain in a very short period of time. Now, think about how long it took you to get that
single PR2 targeted link. I think for the same amount of time, you could accomplish quite a bit more, if you go completed untargeted personal web sites. Remember, personal
web sites have link popularity as well, and some are PR5’s, 6’s, and 7’s, because they have been around for so damn long, that they have had plenty opportunity to develop linkage.
WARNING!
YOU MUST STILL DEVELOP TARGETED LINKAGE!
This is just a quick fix to move you up in rankings, however, if you realistically want to move into the top slots, you are still going to have to go for higher PR and targeted sites or preferably higher targeted PR sites.
This is just quick SEO solution to get you going in the search engines.
